Blog Experience

It was actually fun writing in this blog, because I never had a blog before. I never really understood blogs, because I always thought no one would read it, but after this experience, I think that it's not the main point that other people read it. It's fun to talk or write about certain random stuff that most people wouldn't ask you about, and you would never get to talk about them if it wasn't for this. It's also fun because it's like a little "you" museum and if people get to read it, they can know a little bit more about you, the things you like, and the things you don't, what makes you laugh, and that sort of things. It was a nice experience, because I got to know stuff about my classmates and the teacher that without the blog I never would have known. Reading the blogs I also could tell that, even tough I didn't know anyone in the class, I have more things in common with my classmates than I thought I would have. I like writing, but not in this particular format, I prefer writing songs or things like that, rather than a text. Probably I wouldn't have written this stuff if I didn't had to write a blog, and I don't know if I will keep doing it (unless I have to for English IV), but I had fun :)

My Favorite Picture

I have a lot of pictures that I like, but this is my favorite from this past semester. We were with my girlfriend and her mother at an all you can eat dinner at Buenos Aires, Argentina, in June. There was a lady taking pictures of the people at tables and printing them instantly. She was trying to sell them but it wasn't an obligation once she took the picture. We said no thanks but she insisted so we said yes, but we weren't going to buy it. Then she handed us the picture while she waited for us to decide whether we were going to buy it or not. It was a funny picture because of our faces and we thought that my girlfriend's pose was funny, with the elbow and everything because she looked like she was on her political campaign. The lady was walking around the dinner waiting for the customers to buy the pictures, and quickly, we took a picture with our cellphones of it, because it was an awesome picture. After that, she took it but we will have it forever. We really don't want to lose it, so we have it in every platform we use, like facebook, whatsapp, our cellphones, e-mails, and everything, just in case. And it is in my blog now, we will never lose this picture.

Hobbies

I have two main hobbies. The first one is playing the guitar. I play since I was 12 years old and I have been part of several bands since then. At that time, I listened to punk music and that's what got me into the guitar playing. At first, I only knew how to play like the punk guitarists do it, but with a little time and practice, I got better at it and started playing some other complex stuff. I like making my own songs because it's fun, quick and simple. Currently, I have a band with my best friend and we record songs in my room with my computer and a microphone. During summer, we made a little EP. 

My second hobbie is watching the old episodes of The Simpsons on T.V because they make me really happy. I try to watch it everyday on FOX or Canal 13 and I get a little sad when I miss it. It's fun because I remember every episode and dialogue and I can watch it doing something else. It makes me laugh and gives me a homy feeling that no other show gives me. Anyway, I like watching them online but it's not the same. You get the full experience by watching it on T.V, even though they repeat the episodes quite a lot, and they cut them. 

My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie is the nightmare before christmas by Tim Burton. It’s about this halloween town whose members’s purpose is to prepare the earth’s halloween every day of the year, and that’s the only thing they do. The town and people are sort of spooky and Halloween is practically the only thing they know about, and they love it. So, Jack Skellington, the king of Halloween, loved by everyone, is getting tired of doing the same thing every year cause it has become pointless. He goes for a walk, gets lost, and finds the entrances to every holiday town. He enters to christmas town and falls in love with christmas. Then he returns to halloween town and tells everyone to start getting ready for christmas. And they do, but in a creepy way and it doesn’t turn out very good for them, for humans, and for Santa Claus. It’s a very nice movie to watch and it’s really pretty. They made it by stop motion and it took three years for them to finish it. It’s great because you can watch it during christmas or halloween on T.V, and those are my favorite holidays of the year. It also has a beautiful soundtrack written and performed by Danny Elfman. He did The Simpson's opening theme.

Chess

My favorite subject this year is chess; it’s a CFG (course of general formation) it’s a short class, only an hour and its fun. The teacher is a geek very funny to it’s a passionate of the chess; he looks like hawking before the disease with the glasses, the hair and everything. I don’t know much about the classes because I have problems of concentration but in the small moments when I get to pay attention I find interesting. I’m not a person who loves the chess, I play sometimes in the school when it was raining and we can’t go to the yard, but I don’t like over another table games like monopoly or hammer snails. Some people say the chess is a sport but I don’t think so, yes, you exercise the mind but you can do it on another situation, well I’m not sure if I know what makes a sport a sport so maybe I don’t have the reason. Another think I like about the subject of chess is that we don’t have evaluation, I think the evaluation it’s the worst part of the university because the life don’t have evaluations it’s a less representative wave of test your learning level.
